Motto: Freedom & PeaceUnder the watchword of 'Freedom and peace for Europe and Russia’, as tensions between the West and Russia continue, we aim to help break the deadlock by building a bridge between 'East' and 'West’. A bridge between Eastern and Western EuropeArnhem is a city which bridges the Rhine. It was at the Battle of Arnhem that Allied forces, made up of British, American and Polish troops, fought for freedom and peace. Fewer people are quick to acknowledge the contribution made by the other great liberating power, the Soviet Union, which lost no fewer than 26 million in its struggle to liberate Europe. By way of this peace march, we aim to do our bit to improve relations between Russia and the rest of Europe by emphasising what we have in common. Peace marchWe are asking Russians and former Soviet citizens living in the Netherlands to join us and, together with the Dutch people, march across the bridge which links the two banks of the Rhine. Bring along, if you can, a photograph of a loved one who died during the Second World War. Peace concertFollowing the march there will a major concert including:
